Quanshe's family needs your support establishing a trust for her children after her courageous battle with Colon Cancer.
Quanshe Washington is a special young lady. She was born in Charlottesville, Virginia in the Spring of 1986. Through many difficulties, she has grown into a beautiful young lady with a beautiful smile. In the Spring of 2013, with a new focus and purpose, she enrolled at PVCC with intentions of making life better for her 3 beautiful children. Shortly thereafter, however, she became very ill. She was brought into the hospital with an assumed blockage in her Colon. We were shocked to be told this blockage was Colorectal Cancer, Stage 4 with little chance of survival. As a single mother of 3 beautiful children, she has faced many trials. When she was diagnosed, Quanshe faced this new challenge with focus, hope and determination.
At a tender 27 year old, she bravely endured numerous rounds of chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. Helping her family to cope through humor and wit. Sadly, her battle has come to an end. On November 19th, she entered into her eternal rest. We are deeply saddened by our loss. However, we must face our challenge with her focus, that of fulfilling her dying wish of providing for her three small children.
As a youth, Quanshe was a rising star basketball player, in her Junior high and high school. Her path was changed by the birth of her son, who has followed in her love of basketball and is becoming a star player himself. He has hopes of becoming a lawyer. She spent her last few months mentoring and inspiring rising stars through the church.
We, her extended family and friends still need your help with remaining burial expenses. Through your generous donations, we were able to purchase Quanshe's coffin through a discounted website for just under $2000. Due to lack of available space at our local cemetery, she has to be buried in a private cemetery. We thank her Pastor for her donated burial plot. However, this ensues additional cost. Due to your generosity, we have met the demands of the private cemetery's vault fee of $2200. Please help us bring hope to her beautiful children by continuing to show your support. Continue to share our page with your friends and their friends. Let our determination to provide for their future be your guide. Funds donated to this site will be used to cover funeral expenses and to establish trusts for Quanshe's surviving children.
