This is the Frank Trieschmann Cancer Fund. The funds will be used for Frank's medical costs and burial.

**Thank you all that have donated so far! Your generosity has shown us just what great friends and family we truly have. **
*As some or all of you may know, after seeing our facebook page (Frank Trieschmann Fund), daddy passed away on Wednesday May 9th. We are continuing the fundraiser as long as we can to assist his wife and our beautiful mother get through this tough time. Any donation, no matter how small helps. Your love has given us all comfort and has filled our hearts with so much joy. Words cannot describe how much your support has meant to all of us.

Last Thanksgiving our dad was diagnosed with an advanced stage 4 lung cancer, which had metastasized to his lymph nodes and liver; it was a day that changed our lives forever. His struggle has been great, and it has been a devastatingly difficult time for our family. He began his chemo treatments right away and while the process was difficult his spirits were high, and we saw a turn for the better through Christmas. Our family enjoyed a brief moment of remission as the chemo treatments had caused the cancer cells to reside. However, within a month the cancer had come back with a vengeance, re-growing and spreading rapidly to his spine, bone and brain.
Dad’s pain level and breathing difficulties increased, and our mother took him to the ER at Providence. After a rough 2 weeks in the hospital, his oncologist gathered the family together to discuss the extent of the cancer, notifying us that the focus of dad’s treatment would be in “keeping dad comfortable.” As dad’s doctor made us aware of how profuse the metastasis of cancer to his spine, bone and brain has been…as a family united we cried.
As dad’s doctor notified us that chemotherapy was no longer an option, focused radiation to help with the brain tumors was recommended to prolong and improve dad’s quality of life. However, although while in the hospital our dad was able to receive two radiation treatments...he was physically too weak and unable to attend his appointments once he was sent home.
Our parent's Frank & Shirley Trieschmann are both currently unemployed, and financially times have been really tough. The receipt of our dad's diagnosis and prognosis has made it doubly so. While our mother is helping our father battle this aggressive small cell cancer the finances are dwindling, and we are reaching out to our extended community of friends and family asking for help.
We thank you for taking the time to listen and care. Spread the word!
