I'm excited to be walking the 480 miles to raise donations for the Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation! Please show your support!

"If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell." ~Lance Armstrong

Unfortunately children diagnosed with cancer do NOT have the ability to ignore such odds or percentages. Statistics tell us that more than 12,000 children will be diagnosed with some form of cancer this year. Even though childhood cancers make up only a small percentage of those affected, that is still a extremely large number for such beautiful young children. Through advanced research and treatments available for them, doctors are able to extend the life of some 80 % of children affected by 5 years. 5 years. What have you done in 5 years? graduated college, bought a house, started a family? Well for them this is their entire life. And I use the word life loosely, seeing that these children spend the majority of this time in and out of hospitals holding on to life while their family provides love and support.

Hi, I'm Jaimee. I recently moved back from living in the Virgin Islands for the past 6 years. I love living life, I love traveling and I love just spreading peace and love to whom ever I can!! I pride myself on being a free spirit that smiles all the time, hugs when needed, and laughs as much as I can. Life is a gift, and sometimes life can hurt. I started this campaign a little over a month ago on my webpage After a great month getting the word out to friends and family raising money for Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation, I came to a wall. I have raised a good bit of money so far, and I really want to continue it well into my walk. So I found this site to start a campaign to reach out there to all you angels that can give a little extra for the children.

So my walk that I'm going to be partaking in is the Camino de Santiago, if you are not too familiar with this, it is a 780km walk from Saint Jean pied de port, France to Santiago, Spain. I'm hopefully going to complete it in 35 days, that's an estimated 14 miles per day. I am SUPER excited that I have such a fantastic foundation that inspired me to lay down the hustle and bustle of everyday life, pick up a backpack, and humble myself for the future of our children. I want to make a difference, I want to raise as much money as possible, and I am not going to stop here. These children depend on us as a whole, to come together, help with finding a cure that can get this nasty disease under control. I hope that this simple story of mine inspires you to get involved, donate, not only money, but time, prayers, and love.
