Please help our Noah attend a Christian Based Private School, First Baptist Academy located in Naples, FL.

I am a proud mother of a 7 year old boy, Noah. My family relocated to Florida from Rome, Georgia, after living there for a year and a half while my youngest step- daughter finished her senior year of college. The public school system in Georgia far exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have been happier. We had heard that the Florida school systems were a bit behind other schools, but we weren't at all prepared for just how "behind" they actually were. As much as we wanted the opportunity to send our son to a private school upon moving here, the truth is we weren't in a financial situation to do so. Instead, we opted for a local Charter school. I cannot begin to express the level of disappointment and frustration we have experienced over the course of the last six months. Despite meeting with our child's teacher and principal, the circumstances didn't change. In fact, there was absolutely no improvement. As a parent, it was incredibly disturbing to see firsthand the lack of motivation by the teachers, the lack of discipline in the classroom, and the sometimes cruel and violent responses from parents when I was vocalized about my dissatisfaction, disappointment, and frustration as it related to Noah's situation. Did you know that the United States performs very poorly in comparsion to the other nations, and that the schools here Florida are the worst in the country? When Noah left half way through the first grade in Georgia he was light years ahead of the classmates he joined when we arrived in Florida. If I knew then what I know now about the Florida public school system, I would have NEVER moved here. As a result, I have made it my personal mission to advocate for my child and make the sacrifces necessary to see that he is challenged both academically and socially, and that his needs are being met. I want the very best for him and I will work as hard as I have to in order to help him reach his goals. My husband and I both work full-time at a local hospital, however, we cannot afford the full $9,700 annual tuition/out of pocket expenses no matter how many financial sacrifices we make. We are hopeful we can raise enough money to meet at least half of the tuition, so that Noah can attend as early as this fall. When we are in a position to give back in ways that others have given to us, you can be assured that we will, without a doubt, "Pay it Forward".
