The funds raised will be used to help with Kurt's medical expenses not covered by insurance.

On May 25th my husband Kurt was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of tonsil cancer; which originated from the HPV virus. He started having symptoms around the same time we were making our plans to relocate to Idaho; where he started out with a very swollen lymph node that wasn't treatable with antiobiotics. This led to a biopsy and diagnosis within 6 weeks of his first symptoms. With our 2 year plans to relocate to Idaho fully in motion we decided to continue on with our move with the doctors blessing and Kurt's determination to not let a cancer diagnosis sqwash our dreams. We pulled into Idaho on June 1st. On June 4th we met with his oncologists that did a battery of tests and prework to get him ready for 7 weeks of intense treatment; which includes both radiation 5 days a week and chemotherapy once a week. His form of cancer is very treatable; but head & neck cancer according to our oncologists is one of the worst forms of treatment to get through. Very painful and eventually he will lose his taste and not want to eat solid foods; which will require him to get his nutrition through a feeding tube. We do have health insurance (thank God); but as everyone knows the deductibles and co-pays are not covered and cancer treatment is very expensive. His treatment will continue for many months to come; as well as the rest of his life. Knowing that there is a potential for financial assistance through donations from family and friends can only help in his recovery allowing us to focus on his healing.

All of your generous contributions are deeply appreciated- anything you can give will help!
