Help us to raise funds that would allow Jessica to replace the things lost in the flood, and get back to the work she loves so much!

On the evening of July 10, a major storm hit Atlanta, GA causing flooding in some areas. One of these areas was where Jessica lives, and her basement apartment filled with water. In a matter of minutes, many of the things that she owned were submerged or washed away as she was unable to do anything about it.

After the waters receded, the damage needed to be assessed. Among the many things that were lost was Jessica's source of income; her laptop. Jessica lives with a condition called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, and although it has never stopped her from doing anything, it does limit her in some ways. Jessica is a writer; she has published novels, maintains a blog, Tweets like a mad woman and does readings over the internet for clients. Her income is based on a computer. Jessica lost her laptop in the flood, and it has significantly affected her ability to work. She has occasionally been able to borrow a computer, but she is also missing another vital tool; the diction software she uses to type. Jessica is currently typing by holding a pen in her mouth, and if you have never tried it, do so and you will know how limiting (and painful!) it can be.

The main goal of this campaign is to come together as friends and family and help Jessica re-build after the flood took so much away from her.
