Skeeter was just diagnosed with an adrenal gland growth. Surgery may cure the Cushing's Disease that is beginning and the cancer, if present

Skeeter was just diagnosed with an adrenal gland growth. We don't yet know if it's benign or malignant. In either case, it seems to be causing the onset of Cushing's Disease. This is one of the rare instances in which Cushing's can be cured, if the gland can be removed. The ballpark estimate for this surgery is $3,000-$6,000. There are so many people who need help that I feel ashamed even creating this request for my dog. I certainly don't expect the full sum to be raised. But any little bit helps. I just lost my other dog in September to hemangiosarcoma, a very aggressive form of cancer. I spent so much on her care that I don't know how I can pay for Skeeter's care. To think that this MAY be curable (again, we're not sure just at this point), but that due to financial constraints he may pass away, is simply unbearable to me. If he's not a good candidate for the surgery or if it can't be afforded, he'll need meds to treat the Cushing's. Apparently these meds are quite expensive. Again, I'm ashamed to ask for contributions, but obviously not too ashamed to keep from asking. I've helped many people and animals over the years, not asking or expecting anything in return. I'm truly not asking anything that I haven't done for someone myself. Thank you so much for your consideration.
