Family loses nearly everything in devastating fire that destroyed their home and 99.9% all of thier possessions.
A Westmoreland County woman and two of her five children safely escaped a fire Thursday night that destroyed their home. The family had no insurance and is in desperate need of any help the community can offer. There is 5 kids total they are in need of donations at this point to help them get into another house. They are homeless after the fire. Please repost to help spread the word. They have a few days left at the hotel the Red Cross put them up in. This is a family in need of community support. The blaze was reported at a house on Home Street in New Kensington about 6 p.m. Thursday. Angel Wilson told Channel 11 News that she and her daughters were watching television when one of the girls got up to go to the bathroom and noticed the flames. “She looked down the hallway and she said there was red in her room. When I got up to go look it was so hot that I couldn’t even get back down there so I put them on the front porch,” Wilson said. No injuries were reported, but firefighters said the family’s cat died in the fire.
