This is the Marmaud Family's Project Hope. Funds will be used to first assist John and his family with their expenses during this time.

John Marmaud was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer in May 2008. He immediately started chemotherapy and began his battle with this deadly disease.

In October 2009, John's cancer had spread to his liver. For almost two years he underwent treatment and just as the doctors were about to tell him that the cancer in his liver was in remission, a CAT scan revealed a 7mm tumor in his brain.

On August 31, 2011, John underwent surgery to remove the tumor in his brain. This surgery left John immobile on his left side (this is his dominant side) and in need of almost constant supervision and care. Following the surgery, radiation therapy was administered and the battle to recover from this trauma to his body began.

In the scans that followed his brain surgery, nodules were found in John's lungs that are indicative of cancer. Chemotherapy for his lungs will begin on November 17, 2011.

In the process of all the medical treatment, the family has managed on a shoestring budget consisting of John's disability and his wife's income. Now, with the need for constant care, John's wife has been out of work for nearly a month. Bills are piling up and there is no money to pay for them. Utilities are in danger of being shut off and John's needs and the needs of his family are falling to the wayside.
