Spencer is seeking donations to help with any unpaid medical costs along with the surmounting expenses in order to continue his care.

Spencer Cleveland, at age 26 was diagnosed with testicular cancer in January of 2012. Spencer went through three rounds of chemotherapy in Denver, overcame roadblocks along the way, including blood clots, a torn hamstring. After his treatment in April, a PET scan indicated that the chemo was unsuccessful. The cancer had ultimately spread to his pelvic bone, prostate, and muscles surrounding the area. After hearing the devastating news, Spencer and his family were determined to keep fighting and find a cure that brought them to a specialist in Seattle, Washington. During routine blood tests and a CT scan it was discovered that Spencer was in kidney failure that was overlooked while in Denver. Spencer was immediately admitted into the hospital and had emergency surgery on his kidneys the next morning. Luckily, the surgery was successful and the doctors could then focus on what he came in for … his cancer. After reviewing his blood tests and scan results, Dr. Nichols and his team came up with an intensive chemotherapy regimen that would hopefully kill the disease. Along with chemotherapy he also is preparing for stem cell transplants. Spencer is now on the right track, but still has a long road ahead with the stem-cell transplants, high dose chemotherapy and surgeries. He is under the care of a team of doctors at University Hospital in Denver.
