The Teresa Clift Medical Expenses fund is for medical expenses and extensive remodeling of our home to make it disability ready for Teresa.

Update: Teresa fought hard to get back home after spending 14 months in various hospitals, including her last stop in Denver since December 2010. Teresa has suffered from rheumetoid arthritis for the last 18 years. In November 2009, she was involved in a serious car accident that saw her rushed to the Medical Center of the Rockies for an emergency back fusion. Since then, she has not been able to work and because of her arthritis, eventually had to go into the hospital. Since her accident, she has been in nine different facilities. Since then she had a serious bowel perforation in her stomach that required surgery, where she spent 2 weeks in critical condition. She has also come down with a very rare and serious mycobacterium that has slowed her recovery.
Teresa has spent all of her adult life taking care of people as a nurse and now as a paraplegic, she needs others to take care of her. Her goal was to get back home and build her life again and that happened on Dec. 13. Unfortunately, we had to send her back to the emergency room on Christmas Eve and she was not able to spend Christmas at home. We have done some remodeling but have found out that much more needs to be done, including putting an ADA shower in the bathroom. We have a lot of work to do and unfortunately, not a lot of financial support or help, thus the fundraising site. Any help would be so beneficial to get Teresa back to a life she can enjoy. Thank you and God bless.
