We are trying to raise funds for a stem cell transplant for our much loved husband, father, brother and friend.... Kurt Kendrick. In 2007 he was involved in an ATV accident that nearly took his life. Although he recovered from this terrible accident, there was a much more serious health issue at hand. During his time in the hospital he endured many x-rays, MRIs and blood tests. Several of these tests revealed evidence that Kurt had lymphoma. Sadly, these results were overlooked and never persued by the physican or lab. Kurt did not know he had cancer.
Fast foward to 2011 and a trip to the emergency room for abdominal pain revealed cancerous tumors encasing his kidneys. The cancer was inoperable. Several rounds of chemo later he was in remission. The joy of healing was short lived however... A problem with his eyes in 2012 revealed the cancer had returned and was in his spinal fluid. He is currently enduring painful chemo treatments thru a port in his skull. Kurt is in desperate need of a stem cell transplant. His prognosis is only few months if procedure is not performed immediately. Sadly his insurance will not cover the transplant due to having the policy for under 2 years.
Kurt is a man of strong faith. He is a caring, generous and selfless person. At this time Kurts main concern should be for his own well being, however he is more worried for his wife Donna, son Brian, his family and friends. Kurt says his life in Gods hands. I believe we are all Gods hands and we can pull together to give Kurt his life back. Any donation amount....small or large, can add up to big results.
The surgery will be performed at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland Oregon when the funds are raised.

1 John 3:16-19
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."
