Support The Broken Consort in their efforts to bring more beauty and joy to public schools, community centers, and correctional facilities!

The Broken Consort is an increasingly sought-after vocal ensemble based in Cambridge, MA. These best friends, all trained in early music, set out to bring beauty and nuance of early chamber music to a wider audience through performance and education. We believe that although the musical language of most of our repertoire comes from a far-away time, it’s power and grandeur can be expressed through intelligent programming, vigorous research, and committed performances. TBC sets out to collaborate with musicians and artists from diverse backgrounds to create concert experiences that are relevant and meaningful to the modern audience.

The ensemble’s latest activities include studying and performing at the Vancouver Early Music Festival with Sequentia, performances and outreach at numerous venues in Boston, and a featured interview on ECAT-Easton. Members of the ensemble have won major competitions and fellowships in the the US and abroad. In the 2011-2012 season, TBC will be heard in Boston, NYC, Baltimore, and Montreal.

If you have never been to a classical concert, come experience us; if it has been a while since your last concert, come experience us; if you are a seasoned concert goer looking for new ideas, come experience us. You will be pleasantly surprised (and quietly swaying and humming!)

The Broken Consort is going to do their first USA tour in 2012-2013 following their debut CD release. The ensemble plans will do an considerable amount of educational outreaches in schools, elderly homes, and prisons on top of their main-stage performances. Your donation will support their outreach activities around the country. It has never been a better time to support a young ensemble as they are all fired up to bring beauty and joy into this world.
