We are raising money to help reduce/eliminate his constant head pain. Funds will be used for medical costs not covered by insurance.

Just $10k more to go!  Every little bit helps.

An update on Jonny's journey:  He flew to Dallas, and had surgery on July 26th...and the device began working right away at reducing the intensity of his constant head pain.  What a miracle!  And it's not too late for you to be a part of this miracle:

Jon still needs a bunch of money in order to pay for this much needed surgery, and you can help. (Actually, the dollar amount indicated on this web page records only a portion of the total funds raised. We have also received many personal checks totaling over $30,000 - bringing our total to $55,000 so far!) Jon's constant severe head pain began over 19 years ago, as a result of an ATV accident. He is a husband, dad, teacher, friend...and has never been ONE MINUTE without severe disabling pain since his accident. Jon's symptoms include constant severe head pain, difficulty in concentration (therefore memory as well), trouble falling asleep, inability to exercise regularly, etc. The past 19 years: he sought various treatments and procedures, in-patient and out-patient, including biofeedback, acupuncture, Botox, nerve blocks, and has been prescribed over fifty different medications. Nothing has relieved the severe and constant head pain. He seen psychotherapists, physical and occupational therapists, neurologists, and other specialists. Jon's head pain is so severe that he needs to prioritize how to use his limited physical resources. For example his dad mows Jon's lawn, and shovels for them. Do you know how hard that is for a 34 year old man to need his dad to come over when it snows? But Jon's head pain limits him. He's the consummate actor. He tries to hide his pain and function socially as though not in great pain. Over the past few years his head pain has begun impacting his work attendance. This is greatly disappointing. Jon loves his job, and desires to pour himself fully into teaching his elementary students. But recently, he found a treatment he hadn't tried called neuro-stimulation. It was $12k for the three day trial and over $50k to do the final procedure. Insurance rejected covering this treatment, because it is still considered investigative for reducing head pain (although it would be covered for reducing back or neck pain). Jon completed the trial procedure, and it worked! Now we can help send Jon for the next step in his journey to wellness.
