The family & friends of Monica Simon are uniting to raise money to help her battle against Stage 4 Melanoma. Please share your support!

In February 2012, at the age of 54, Monica went to the ER because she was having trouble breathing and she was afraid that she was having a heart attack. Upon examination, lesions were seen on her lungs. She immediately scheduled an appointment to see her doctor and a full body scan was performed.

It was determined at that time that she had Stage 4 ovarian cancer that had spread throughout her body, including her lungs. A biopsy was performed on her lungs and her diagnosis was changed to Stage 4 Melanoma, which had spread internally to her organs.

As many of you might know, prognosis of stage 4 melanoma is not good. However, we remain hopeful that she will beat the odds. She is a fighter and has much to fight for! We believe in miracles and our faith is strong.

Monica's family means everything to her. She has been married 30 years to Rob Simon. They have 3 daughters: Rachel (age 25), Brittany (age 23) and Brianna (age 23).

Monica is self-employed as a hairdresser and owns her own salon. She hasn't been able to work much lately because she gets tired very easily and is in pain. Plus she has difficulty breathing. Rob is also self-employed. Finances are a concern. They are trying to get into a clinical trial, and are also considering alternative treatments. All of this will be very expensive. We are hoping to raise some funds in order to offset/assist with medical/daily living expenses to alleviate the financial burden that they are experiencing. We want to give Monica every chance of fighting for her life.
