My family and myself are uniting to raise money to help me with my tough battle against Sarcoma cancer. Please show your support!

My name is Colette DeRosa and this summer I was diagnosed with stage 4 sarcoma cancer.  I have a total of 6 tumors; 2 in my pelvic area, 3 in my right lung and the largest in my armpit (7 cm).

Unfortunately this isn't my first fight.  The tumors have spread from the one tumor I had back in 2008.  It was located in my right thigh.  During that ordeal I had 6 weeks of chemotherapy, surgery then 3 months of radiation.

I thought all was well and was just undergoing my routine check up this summer when I learned I was no longer cancer free.  I sure enjoyed those 3 years of being free of this disease.

I'm being treated at Seattle Cancer Care Aliance by the best team who specializes in sarcoma cancer.

I've already completed 6 weeks of chemotherapy that didn't work; as you can imagine panic and stress has popped up more than I'd like to admit.  I'm currently taking a different chemotherapy which is a pill form.  I take 4 pills everyday and am on my second month of it.  The gameplan is to do a total of 3 months of this chemotherapy, then get a scan done to see if surgery is an option.  Fingers crossed this will work this time.

I'm 41 years old and work in the travel industry. I have two daughters, a stepdaughter and a stepson.  I also have a one year old, beautiful granddaughter (her name is Paetyn).  I'm also happily married, going on 10 years.

I'm known for being a tough woman; someone with a thick skin.  I just consider myself a mom and wife who does what she needs to do.

With expenses such as the medications that I have to constantly restock, transportion and such, we could use a little help during this ordeal.

My family is my world and they are the reason I'm fighting so hard to beat this disease again.  Please help me fight and kick cancer's butt for a second time.

Colette
