Funding supports the means for temporary living , post life-saving bone marrow transplant, while Ashanti's immune system rebuilds itself.

The Anderson’s daughter... my God-Daughter, is suffering from an affliction of sickle cell anemia. Please donate now in order to support the temporarily relocation of the mother, Kim,  and her two children, Alir and Ashanti from Sacramento to Palo Alto, California. This is only temporary ( away from their other siblings and father, Thomas), while the procedure is taking place and the after care treatments are being administered over the 3 to 6 months following the surgery.  Again, the monies will then go toward lodging, toiletries, food, transportation to and from appointments at the hospital, as well as other minor expenses not covered by insurance or the hospital.

The story behind Ashanti’s struggle is hi-lighted by her mother's determination to keep her alive. So, even though Ashanti had initially been estimated to live a just few short years after her birth, through nothing short of grace from above, along with her mother's dedication, research, and due diligence in formulating and adhering to a strict diet for her daughter; Ashanti has surpassed those estimates by approximately 6 years. She is 9 years old and counting! With your added donations, hopefully Ashanti will live to celebrbate another birthdate.

To put it short, the effort and research by Ashanti's mother, which had first impressed one doctor at UC Davis enough for recommendations, has more recently garnered the attention and admiration of a group of doctors at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Stanford, California. Said group has considered the initial recommendation and collectively extended themselves to perform this procedure, which is normally runs about a $250,000.00.

At this point, Ashanti is on the schedule to receive the much needed bone marrow transplant, which will almost certainly save her life! However, securing the monies for the after care is a prerequisite for the surgery. Without this aftercare procedures to help her body adapt to the the bone marrow and rebuild her immune system to fight off any new infections, the procedure is pointless.

For the sake of those wishing to stay informed of Ashanti's status, we will be keeping track of progress both at this donation website:

and Facebook alike. Again!! PLEASE DONATE NOW. No donation is too small. There is an option to donate directly to a Wells Fargo account # 8305050281 or online via the fundraising site setup on Ashanti’s behalf.  We thank you one and all in for your donations and additional promotions, kind words and prayers! On behalf of Ashanti and the Anderson family, Thank You!
