Yasmin Mahsoub Rare Cancer - Adrenocortical Carcinoma - Fund
Yasmins family and friends are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against rare form of cancer. Please show your support!
Four-year-old Yasmin Mahsoub will die of cancer unless her family raises enough money to pay for treatment abroad. Yasmin suffers from a rare aggressive form of cancer that is untreatable in her country, and medical professionals in the UAE have recommended that she travel to Europe or the United States for treatment as a matter of urgency. Yasmins parents, Sherif Mahsoub from Egypt and Victoria Zimina from Russia, have managed to find a hospital in Switzerland experienced in dealing with the type of cancer Yasmin suffers from, but the cost of the treatment at the University Childrens Hospital, Zurich is well over a million dirhams (US $330,000). I want to take my baby for treatment but I dont have that kind of money, said Victoria Zimina. We need to move fast because the tumor is growing inside of her. The type of cancer our daughter has is malignant and aggressive, Sherif Mahsoub added. Im a civil engineer but I lost my job because I took time off to be with her, so we really need help to pay the medical expenses. Yasmin first became ill in May of this year and was later diagnosed with Adrenocortical carcinoma; a rare cancer that forms in the outer layer of tissue of the adrenal gland on the kidney and only affects one or two people out of a million annually.
