Let's Come together and help Rick who has experienced an unexpected setback and is now diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer.

As many of your are aware, on September 30th, 2012, Rick Newman suffered an aortic aneurysm. At that time his doctors had estimated that he would only have 1-2 years to live at most. Your generous donations were extremely appreciated during that time, especially as he had no insurance coverage and your generosity funded much needed tests and medications. Since then, Rick has been officially disabled and as of March of this year, finally eligible for Medicare benefits. Unfortunately, after undergoing routine tests after receiving these benefits, Rick was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer and must begin chemotherapy and radiation treatment immediately. Many of you know Rick Newman and know the many things he has done over the years to help others, especially children. Throughout the years he has opened numerous Science & Technology Centers at Schools and Scout Camps all across the country. In addition, at his personal residence, every year, Rick sets up an elaborate month long Halloween & Christmas/Holiday sound, light and laser show, welcoming thousands to also help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation all at his own expense. Even shortly after being released from the hospital back in 2012 and while still recovering in a wheelchair, the holiday shows were still held at his home with the help of his wife Jeanne and generous friends and neighbors. This fundraising effort is aimed at offsetting the unexpected costs for chemo and radiation treatment not presently covered by his benefits. He proved the doctors wrong back in 2012, and with your support he can prove them wrong once again!
