American Bulldog puppy needs help raising funds for orthopedic surgery

Lex is a 6 month old female American Bulldog who we have grown to love. She is the first dog my son's have ever had and they are very sad to see their "baby" inured. Lex was at a dog park Thursday evening, April 29th, when she got scared of a few dogs and jumped on a bench. As she jumped off the bench her left leg got caught between the metal arm rest and the bench seat. She yelped as she went toward the ground and I immediately pulled her up by the chest to untangle her back leg. The following day I took her to the vet where he determined thru Xray's that she had a femoral fracture ( her upper leg was broken). He referred us to specialist for surgery. On Saturday, May 1st, I met with the surgeon and he described her surgery and that as soon as she had her leg stablized with a metal plate and screws her pain level would be minimum. He said that without surgery her leg would eventually heal but be mangled/deformed. Shortly after it felt like she would be better soon I found out I did not qualify for financing. So here I am asking or your help....

I've told you about the facts and now I would like to share a little about myself. I have 3 sons: Frankie 11 years, Jaxon 7 years, and Lucas 4 years old. They have asked for a dog the past few years and I never thought I would get them one. When I found Lex I fell in love and knew she would be a part of our family. The boys were happy as they now had their dog, friend, and "protector" (they would always say there's no way just a "mom" can protect them at night). Since Lex's injury the boys have been extremely sad. Frankie cried the first 2 nights as he layed on the floor with her to sleep. Unfortunately they thought "mommy was going to get her fixed today", and when they came home saw that there was no change. We've had our share of crying with all the emotions surrounding our injured "little girl" (as Luke calls her).

I had some life changes a few years ago which has affected my credit. If I could qualify for financing Lex would be healing from surgery already. I am not one to ask for help but I realize this is bigger than myself. My sons are counting on me to give Lex the surgery she needs ASAP. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

We were able to get the vet to lower his cost which helps a lot.
