This is the saddest story in the world! Iolanta Mamatkazina of Krasnodar, Russia is only 15 month old and has retinoblastoma, retina cancer of BOTH eyes. She being monitored by Memorial Sloan-Kettering in NYC. The mother brought Iolanta here because American doctors think there is still hope. Because of negligent and costly treatment in Moscow the child went blind. Dr. David Abramson, Iolanta's doctor, is optimistic about the child's future and thinks that her left eye still has a chance to recover. Iolanta and her mother came here as visitors so they are obligated to pay bills. Huge bills. They sold everything they owned to come here. The money is a huge issue since there is no medical insurance to cover medical expenses. The treatment and rehabilitation may take up to 2 years and an incredible
amount of money. No donation is too small.
You can help! Iolanta and her mother need your support in order to be able to afford the treatment and years of rehabilitation. And above all they need you to pass this story!
