Faith was born on September 20, 2005. At just 4 months old she was diagnosed with lebers congenital amaurosis. It's an inherited eye disease that leaves you blind. Along with the disease has other medical problems associated with the kidneys. In 2010 we went to children’s hospital, Faith had a fever of 104 and her creatinine and potassium were high, we found out she had a urinary track infection. Her kidneys weren't functioning and she was becoming constipated causing urinary track infection. She was then diagnosed with kidney disease. The doctors then put her on medication to help her kidneys from going into kidney failure. In December 2011 she was running a fever yet again. She was sent down for an ultra sound and we found out she had a twisted bowl and another urinary track infection. She was taken in for emergency surgery and she recovered fine. We then asked the doctors why is she having so many bowl and urine problems. That’s when they told us her kidneys are only functioning at a 35% rate. We went home on urinary track infection medication, Mira lax, and Senna fluid to help with constipation issue. After getting out of the hospital 2 months after, her weight had a drastic change. She then had a g-tube put in so she could be fed with a machine to help her gain weight. About 3 months after we wanted a tube so she would be able to function and swim in school without the cord hanging and getting infected. Called a peg tube. In June the doctors performed the surgery we were sent down to make sure it was lined up right, come to find out it wasn't. Yet we had another hospital stay and emergency surgery. Faith was well enough to come home the next day. In September 2012 Faith had another fever. We took her to Wisconsin Rapids where we live to the emergency room, we found out she had high levels of potassium and her creatinine was high again. She was then rushed down by ambulance to Children’s Hospital and had several test done. The doctors said with her getting this urinary track infection it really put a lot of strain on her kidneys. Her kidneys now are at 15%. We are in the process of getting a new kidney. Through out this whole process Faiths been a big trooper. She loves music, singing and mocking people. Please help this little girl, she has been through so much.
