All of this money will be going to my mothers medical expenses.

Hello there. I know none of you know me nor my mother, but I wanted to share with you a piece of information to maybe persuade you to donate to this cause. My mother is 37 years old, a full time hairstylist, and has Rheumatoid Arthritis. For all of you who don't know what that is it is an autoimmune disease, which means the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. RA usually affects joints on both sides of the body equally. Wrists, fingers, knees, feet, and ankles are the most commonly affected. Some symptoms are: Morning stiffness, which lasts more than 1 hour, is common. Joints may feel warm, tender, and stiff when not used for an hour. Joint pain is often felt on the same joint on both sides of the body. Over time, joints may lose their range of motion and may become deformed. Sometime my moms finger become numb. It's that bad. She's had this disease since she was 16. Being a hairstylist, she is on her feet all day and is using her fingers the same. She was doing my hair one time and she dropped her scissors and couldn't finish. To add to all this awesomeness, when she was 23 on New Years, her friend accidentally shot a bottle rocket right through her knee. She had to have knee surgery and has additional knee problems ever since. Recently, she fell down on concrete and damaged her knee very badly. She is going to have to have surgery again. this is going to be a very expensive surgery because she's going to need an artificial knee put in. Along with that, I forgot to mention that she has to have monthly infusions that cost over $1000 and make her ill for about a week and then the pain of her RA will be reduced. We wouldn't be asking if we didn't need this. Thank you for your time.
