The family and friends of Lisa Boling are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against cancer. Please show your support.

In September of 2011 Lisa was diagnosed with stage 4 vulvar cancer. She underwent surgery and had the left side of her vula removed. During this surgery the doctors did bioposies of lymph nodes in the surrounding area. Unfortunately for Lisa, the biopsies came back positive.

At this point she was sent to an oncologist to discuss options and what type of cancer she had now. The oncologist confirmed it was lymphoma and started treatment right away. She was placed on chemotherapy orally.

As the months have progressed, she has been taking 2 different kinds of chemotherapy and gets local radiation to 2 spots. One on her shoulder and the other on the back of her neck. The oncologist at this point diagnosed her with stage 3 non-hodgkens lymphoma. As the tumors are still there she is now taking radiation plus chemotherapy.

Lisa endures many blood transfusions due to her bloodwork numbers being too low. The cost of her medication is astronomical as is the toll it is taking on her family.

Lisa is married with 2 chiildren and continues to work 4 days a week. She is a fighter and is determined to beat this. She does get worried and concerned when it is the time of month that her medicine is due. As any parent, she struggles to meet the needs of her children. She pays approximately $1,000 per month in medications and $400 per month in co-pays to visit the doctor.

A benefit is being held in her honor on Saturday January 21, 2012 at Shimmers in Ft. Wright, KY from 8pm till midnight to help with these rising medical cost. Cancer doesn't just affect Lisa, it affects her whole family. If everyone pulls together we can help Lisa beat this so she may see her children graduate high school and go on to college. There is one thing we all know to be true. Cancer doesn't discriminate. Along with monetary gifts, and prayer we can all help in our own special way.
