We believe this surgery, initial diagnosis is cruciate disease, would greatly improve Bogarts quality of life.

Bogart is a 6 year old Rottwieler. He was found wandering lost, scared and in pain in the Seattle, Wa. area by the humane society and determined un-adoptable because of the damage to his back knees (Cruciate disease) until R.E.D. (Rescue every dog) stepped in and took responsibility for finding him a good home, after approximatly 5 months and two foster homes he came to us on April 9 2011. Having him in our home has been very good for us and even better for Bogart. He knows he is safe here and wont be hurt as we are sure by the way he acted at first that he was abused and most likely by a man. We love him dearly and although he gets medication (Dasuquion) and a non asprin pain reliever daily what he really needs is knee surgery. Bogart wants to play and trys but it becomes to much for him. We had read all we could about Rottwielers before taking him on and one interesting fact is that the breed was ment for herding and protecting cattle well i can tell you we have become his herd. Mindy and I have no problem keeping him fed getting his medication and giving all the love he needs, he has three beds in the house plus one on the deck, but its this one thing this surgery that would make all the difference in his daily life. We could go on and on but what it comes down to is simple he can live two or three more years uncomfortable or five to six years with drastically reduced pain and greater mobility but we need some help. Thank you for taking the time to read this weather you donate or not.
