Please help us to cover the costs of dental surgery to remove an infection that threatens our dog's vision.

Our sweet little mini dachshund Molly needs dental surgery. She's been through so much in her life - she was in a puppy mill and used for breeding. While there, her tail was cut off after it got caught in a door. She also has a scar from a burn on her left side, although we don't know how it happened.
After the puppy mill decided she didn't breed enough, they gave her to a family that didn't understand traumatized dogs. They only had her for a couple of weeks before taking her to a shelter. We found her there and fell in love immediately.
She was skin and bones, had crusty ears, a dull coat and was scared of everyone. But with nutrition, patience and love she is now a very sweet, gentle, beautiful companion.
She has developed an infection in her back teeth that spread up behind her eye and created a retrobulbar abscess. She is having surgery on March 2 to clean and probably pull some of her teeth. Since we got her, my husband has become unemployed (lovely economy we have....) and trying to afford all the vet bills is very difficult. But we can't part with her, we're the only real family she's ever known. We've put hundreds of dollars into antibiotics and exams so far, but are at our limit.
Any and all help would be very appreciated! I'll get pictures posted later today of our baby so you can see just how sweet she is. If the infection continues, she runs the risk of losing her eyesight and it could spread throughout her body. We don't have human children, please help us keep our furry child!
