His injuries wont heal alone. Certainly X-rays are desperately needed, infection is possible to set in if his limbs die.

Our sweet amazing little miracle cat came to us about a month ago, in the middle of the night, full of love.He was crying out like he was looking for us! My boyfriend saw him outside first...and when he peeked his head in the door I never expected to see such a beautifully handsome cat! Because we live in an environment where very few animals and no people or cats come, we knew he was a stray. We thought possibly ferral. Except within the first 10 minutes or so, he was in my arms..and rubbing all against my boyfriend.Just like he had finally found us. If you know cats, you know its hard to pet one youve just met, let alone have it on its back in your lap! He craves it ..loves it ..so we named him Lover Bear. He never left after that. He is always on our bed or catching mice (he is so strong and agile).climbs trees and jumps branches like its nothing. One day he will be the coolest Tom Cat ever .Yet he is the most affectionate and loving cat.So sweet that he will gently pat you with his closed paw if you havent touched him by the time he thought you should. When I say he never left, I should say he always came home. The first time he was gone all day I cried at the thought he wouldnt return. It broke my heart. My boyfriend and he bonded as well. They went on walks and hung out in trees. When he came home, he would always climb into my arms or lay on my side, his head on my shoulder, his paws kneading my hair. He is the epitome of our hearts walking around with fur on. We love him, and feel he was meant to be with us. Last week he was hit by a car (we assume),because he has to cross a highway to get to us. He dragged himself down probably 30 feet to get to the door. Not much else makes one feel more helpless than wanting to help a "broken" animal that cant tell you what hurts. Clearly his hind legs were damaged..he cant walk. At the emergency visit to the Veterinarian we could afford (with much appreciated help) no more than the exam, medicine and fluids he needed. We couldn't get x-rays to determine what the injuries are or to what extent the damage may be. Iam writing this because my boyfriend and I need help to fix him. We need him, like he needs us. We love him, like he loves us. He deserves to spend the rest of his life like he has lived his first year of life..as an amazing, graceful, athletic, smart, beautiful, killer, lover and angel with paws..free to climb trees, catch mice and walk into his home where he knows he is loved. PLEASE, PLEASE..if you, or someone you know has a love for animals and the means to help people with financhim forever. Thank you for your consideration and for reading. Sincerely, Dawn, John and Lover Bear.
