UPDATE 7/17/12:
This fundraiser is to benefit the family of Danny Noland. His wife Ella has said that she would like to use it to help out the kids who have sacrificed to be with her in this time. So if you would still like to donate please feel free, we will leave the donation open for awhile longer.

Hello, I am Tiffany. I am the neice of Dan and Ella Noland.

On Saturday, June 30th 2012, my Aunt and Uncle set out on their 21st Anniversary trip to Yellowstone Park. They both love motorcycles, so they decided to ride Dan's Harley for the trip. They had purchased a tow-behind tent trailer specifically for this trip.

The rain had them penned up in a hotel room first in Orofino, ID and then Deer Lodge, MT by Monday. They decided they would try to make it from Deer Lodge to Yellowstone Park before getting rained on some more.

Almost to the National Park, just past Livingston, MT, there was an accident. A vehicle had stopped to turn off the highway and the two vehicles behind him stopped suddenly. My Aunt and Uncle had been chatting and looking at the scenery when Ella suddenly noticed the brake lights...

My Uncle couldn't stop in time. He slammed on his brakes, forgetting about the trailer, which caused the bike to fish-tail. The movement of the bike sent Ella flying before the bike hit the car in front of it.

The best man I have ever known died that day. He was thrown from his bike into the car, onto the pavement and then crushed by an oncoming truck.

We are lucky to still have my Aunt, although she is broken, bruised and badly burned from the engine and asphalt.

Dan Noland was "daddy" to almost everyone he knew. Since losing my own father in 1993, Uncle Dan was more of Dad to me than an uncle. Fatherly wisdom never came from such a wonderful and loving man.

Please help us pay the incredibly exorbitant amount of money it will cost to fly his body from Livingston, MT to our hometown of Richland, WA. We also have to pay for funeral costs.
