The Family/Friends of Brenda Harris are uniting to raise money to help with the expense of the medication TOBI that Brenda urgently needs.

Brenda was diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis in April 1989. There is no cause or cure for Sarcoidosis. When Brenda was diagnosed, she was advanced in staging with this disease. (stage 4) However, she has continued to live her life to the fullest in response to this debilitating disease. She has helped others by starting and facilitating Let’s Breathe Sarcoidosis Support Group. This group has been in operation since 1991. This group has helped save many lives.

Brenda has met many health challenges; especially the health challenge she met in 1994 when she had an operation, to remove the upper right lobe from her lung. Her latest challenge is a bacteria in her lungs. This bacteria is Pseudomanas Aeruginosa. The medication needed to control this bacteria is TOBI (Tobramycin Inhalation) which Brenda needs to take every other month to control the bacteria. Brenda has some temporary assistance with private insurance and the pharmaceutical company, but still has a large co-pay to be met the months she needs to take TOBI. The donation requested is just for this month's prescription.

Having Brenda worry if she will be able to obtain her medication is a worry we would like to take away from her. Brenda has helped so many with this disease, we would like to help her in her time of need.

Brenda is a wife and mother. She also is the caregiver of her elderly mother and the overseer of her brother Johnny who has had a major stroke and is in a nursing home.

Thank you for your donations, support, and most important your prayers.
