I'm here to make a plea to save my dogs eyes from going blind. He's an 12 month old Siberian Husky who has genetic cataracts.
One year ago, right before Christmas, I was sitting down thinking about what to give my youngest son Kael, for his first Christmas present. I couldn't think of anything right off hand so I got a bit frustrated and then it hit me. I recalled giving my oldest son a puppy for his first Christmas. After seeing my oldest son bond with his dog I wanted my youngest son to experience this as well.So for his first Christmas present, he received a Siberian Husky pup.
Long story short, one year later his Siberian Husky "Kinko" was a handful. On top of that he was developing an issue with his eyes that at first didn't seem to cause him any pain but as time passed this changed and it became clear how much pain he was now in. I did a lot of research and found information that troubled me enough to take him to see his regular veterinarian and eventually to a specialist. At these veterinarian visits I learned that Kinko had developed "Hereditary Cataracts" and without Surgery he will go blind.
I had a fundraiser on this website previously for Kinko but it recently expired so I created this account to keep raising money. So far I've been lucky enough to have raised over $1500.00 in 30 days. The surgery costs roughly around $4500.00 so now I am trying to raise the remaining $3000.00 to save Kinko's vision. Please help us raise the money to get Kinko the surgery he deserves so he can live a full and joyous life. His cataracts are currently at the mature stage and we don't have much time left before surgery may no longer be an option for Kinko.
