Kaylynn's owner needs to raise money to pay for surgery & radiation therapy for her mouth cancer.

Kaylynn is a 9 year old tortie-and-white siamese mix. She was just diagnosed with a form of mouth cancer on March 28th. At first her vet told me it was an abscess in her mouth, so she was put on antibiotics for a week. They did not help her at all, so the vet went in and surgically removed most (but not quite all) of what was supposed to be an abscess. After sending it off to be tested, it came back as positive for cancer. Luckily it is not one of the types that spreads like crazy, and is nowhere else in her body. Just on her lower left jaw.

The oncologist who is treating her said that since it was localized, and that if we can pay for her surgery and the radiation treatments to make sure it was removed on the microscopic level, there was a very good chance that it would not come back. Or that if it did come back, it wouldn't be for a few more years. If she does not get at least the surgery, she might have as little as 2 months to live. The surgery will cost $4,000 and the radiation is an additional $6,000.

Kaylynn is a very playful and loving cat, she is still eating and playing and doing all the things she did before the cancer. I got her and her full sister (same litter) when they were 6 weeks old. The mother's owner was going to give them to the pound on Halloween.

She's always been my little mischief-maker. Stealing the most random items (a plugged-in glue gun?), and figuring out how to turn things on and off. She even opens the windows help files for how to use the computer and internet. Something even I don't know the keystrokes for!

Please, even if you can only help out with a dollar, or just by forwarding this page to your friends, I would be very grateful, and I know Kaylynn would as well.
