All proceeds will be used to support the Hawaii Jump Rope demo teams with their mission to educate kids about heart health.

The Hawaii Jump Rope Demo team performs at elementary schools throughout the state of Hawaii. This team is made up of elementary students that travel to other schools to educate kids about heart health and promote the American Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart program. These dedicated students practice hard to learn new and excited Jump Rope skills.

Through the promotion and school assemblies the Jump Rope Demo Team performs at we were able to raise over $500,000 for the American Heart Association and the fight against heart disease in Hawaii. The Hawaii Jump Rope Demo team inspires other kids to take care of their hearts and help others by raising donations for this important cause.

Why is this cause so important? Heart Disease is the number one killer of American's and is the cause of death of more women than the top 5 cancers combined. It is so important to educate kids about heart health as we are now facing a huge obesity epidemic in our country. One in three children under the age of 18 are overweight, which drastically increase their chances for heart disease and diabetes as an adult.

Heart Hero Story!
Hi, my name is Brandon. I am 7 years old. I live with my mom, dad and big sister, Brittany. When I was born, I was a very fussy baby and cried all the time. I never slept more than 3 hours at a time during the first year of my life. It was hard for me to drink my bottle and because of this, I didn’t gain weight like other babies. I was diagnosed with 2 heart conditions, supravalvular aortic stenosis and plumanary stenosis. I was also diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome.

When I was 7 months old, my condition worsened and I needed open-heart surgery. I still have a large scar from the surgery that goes from my neck to my tummy.

It has been 7 years since that November day and I am doing great. The doctors say I will need another surgery sometime when I am a teenager.

My family and I are grateful of the research and medical advances that are made possible by the American Heart Association.

Please join us by making a donations to pay for costs associated with the Hawaii Jump Rope Demo Team and help us to raise awareness about heart disease and promote Jump Rope for Heart.
