Please join us as we unite to raise money to help pay for the necessary treatments & surgery needed to repair Miles cleft palate.

Miles and Mason both came into the world with wild curiosity, and beautiful green eyes.  However, having been born with severe unilateral clefts neither had the ability to smile and show the world there happy go lucky nature.  In April our family endured the first of several operations that would be required in order to repair each precious little smile.  Even though this was a relatively simple operation and mild recovery period for the boys, it was to say the least a very emotional and financial hardship for us to endure.  It has now been 4 months and we are very happy to report that both boys are doing fabulously well.

However, the time has come and we must now gear up for our second round of surgical procedures for Miles.  Having been born with a cleft palate as well this surgery is going to be an intense procedure with an exponentially tougher recovery period.  Unfortunately, like so many other people, our insurance just isn’t enough to cover all of the upcoming expenses.  As a result we are faced with many unanticipated costs;  extra childcare for Mason and Darby to compensate for the attention that must be dedicated to Miles, travel costs to the treatments centers, larger co-pays & deductibles, special feeding equipment, prescriptions, visiting nurses, and speech therapy. At a time when we should only be concerned with the health and recovery of our son, we are faced with the stressful financial burden of finding ways to cover these additional costs.

It is not in our nature to ask for help but we've decided that our little man is way more important than our pride.  We humbly ask that you help us reach our goal of $7500.  Your donation will help cover some of these unanticipated costs, help alleviate some of this additional stress in our lives, and allow us to focus on what matters most - getting Miles through this difficult time.
