We have no doubt our friend, Chris, will win his fight against Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, but he needs our help!

Thank you for taking the time to read about our friend, Chris. Once you get to know him, you will understand how he has touched our lives and continues to be an inspiration.

He is owner of a small residential irrigation and lighting company. He loves being outdoors and couldn’t see himself at a desk job. The real draw for him, though, is that he is able to schedule his work and life; placing himself in a great position to be available to the people who are most important to him whenever they need him; especially, his son, Nick.

However, there is major drawback to self-employment; health insurance. As much as the rest of us love him, insurance companies probably don’t see the appeal!

The problem being that this is not the first bout with cancer he has faced. Five years ago Chris received news that he had cancer. He faced it then as he has now—head on. He was upfront and honest with his medical team about his financial situation and worked out a payment plan. When given a “clean bill of health”, after completion of his treatments, Chris stuck to his end of the bargain. After five years of steady payments he was able to clear the books of his debt. The irony behind this is that very same week this past January, as the ink was drying on his final payment; he was diagnosed for the second time with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Even this devastating disease does not stagger him. His strength of character has shows through; he is still the first person to give comfort to friends and family and he seems to be forever cheerful. As trying as these past few months have been, Chris has gotten up for work everyday determined to keep the guys who depend on him employed and his customers happy. He shows up for everything as a son, a father, and a friend no matter how he is feeling. It is often hard to remember that he has been very ill.

Now is a wonderful opportunity to give back to a man who gives so freely of himself. We are hoping to ease some of the financial burden so that Chris can be relieved of a bit of the stress he has been under and focus on healing. No monetary amount is too big or too small. If we pool our resources the very least that will happen is that this incredible man will be given the gift of knowing what a positive influence he is in the lives of the people around him. Please help us show him.
