Rob's Medical Recovery Fund. Set up by family to help cover medical bills accumulating from his cancer treatment.

In February 2011 Rob underwent surgery for the removal of a tumor in his leg that was later diagnosed as Synovial Sarcoma. A very rare type of cancer especially for men in their 40's. The cancer was rare enough that he had to travel to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN to meet with a specialist. Rob then underwent surgery on his leg then 4 very extensive rounds of chemotherapy followed by radiation. The treatment regime was very successful praise God. Since receiving his last radiation treatment there have been many other tests done. Every three months he must undergo scans and tests to ensure that the cancer has not returned. As you can imagine despite having health insurance the medical bills continue to accumulate. Of course during the course of his treatment it was very difficult for Rob to work making it even more impossible to make ends meet. Rob's wife Genea of 21 years and his daughter Gianna (9) have been tremendous support during such trying times. While very thankful for the blessing of life through this medical treatment the medial bills are a tremedous burden for the family. Many of you have asked how you can help so this fundraiser was set up as way to let you do just that. Whether by prayers, donation or note of encouragement all will mean so much to the family. With much appreciation and love, Kelli Pixler-Vandiver and the entire Pixler family
