Dorians family and friends are uniting to help him raise money to go on this journey

to whom it may concern,

I have been planning to take a trip for some time now I just did not know where I wanted to travel too. Then my aunt reminded my of a trip my cousin took a couple years ago through a program called Outward Bound. Outward bound is a program that offers teenagers a chance to take spiritual enlightened expeditions into the wilderness, with guides of course. They offer many choices of places to journey to, but I chose a fourteen day backpacking and canoeing trip in Maine. We start the trip canoeing down the beautiful Androscoggin River and the backpacking course will begin in the mountains of Western Maine and end in Northern New Hampshire. This course will also consist of rock climbing, portaging, and a solo expedition, which will be the most spiritually enlightening. This wonderful journey will not only be a valuable learning experience but very spiritually enlightening and help me find a spiritual path in my life. I had some hard times last year getting in trouble and being a “bad boy” if you will, but that’s really not me. This really gave me a reality check and changed my perspective leading me from a boy to a young man. I am making drastic changes in my life currently attending Yuba College in Clearlake pursuing a nursing degree and of course, staying out of trouble. As well as going to college I have been attending the sermons, bible studies, and volunteering at The Community United Methodist Church, I feel like the church, and the people attending are becoming my church family. Since I have been attending the church I have been thinking about being baptized and becoming a member of the United Methodist church family. Between being a full time college student, taking 12 units, and my community service hours. Please help me go on this awesome journey. Thank you.
