Words for Wyatt is to help raise funds to for an ipad and apps to help Wyatt find his voice.

Wyatt is a non verbal 7 year old that has been diagnosed with Leukodystrophy (dysfunction of the white matter of the brain), Lennox–Gastaut syndrome (LGS- a difficult-to-treat form of childhood-onset epilepsy) and Autism (a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior) just to name a few. Wyatt has over came so much in his 7 years. It was at age 1 that his doctors told us he would not make it to age three. I will never forget that day. Well Wyatt is proof that you can beat the odds. Wyatt is still fighting seizures daily but with the help of his team of wonderful doctors he is making progress. While at his last doctor visit I mentioned Wyatt is more aware for what we are saying to him and is also getting annoyed that we are not understanding what he wants. His doctor suggested getting him an ipad. The ipad has been working great for nonverbal children. We are hoping to raise enough money to buy Wyatt an ipad along with the apps to help him find the words he needs. We are hoping it will be the tool to let us know what he wants, how he feels and maybe even to be able to 'say' the word I have been waiting 7 years to hear from him "MOM".
