I am raising money to help my dad with his battle against cancer. All funds will help pay his medical costs. Please show your support!

My dad was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in April 2011. At the time, he was a successful, self-employed, home owner. My dad is a single, father of two and a fantastic musician and poker player. For those of you who don't know my dad, the best way to describe him would be to call him FUNNY! My dad has the best sense of humor and is the most selfless person I know. He would give the shirt off his back for the people he loves, mostly my brother Chris and I.

Since being diagnosed, my dad has gone through chemo, radiation and surgery. He still has another 6 months of chemo to come. On top of battling cancer, my dad is now suffering from sciatica. Which means for the 3rd time in his life, he has a disc in his spine that has slipped and as a result, a nerve in his back is being pinched which sends an overwhelming amount of pain down both his legs. As of now, my dad is unable to walk for more than a few minutes at a time and his body still hasn't adjusted to it's new way of digesting food. Enabling him to eat much or gain back the weight he lost as a result of this illness.

Because of his poor condition, my dad had to close his business and will not be able to go back to work for at least another 6 months. No work, means no income. Chris and I are helping out as much as we can but the medical bills have become more than we can handle. Dad's private insurance plan is very expensive and covers very little, especially the high tech scans and tests needed to keep on top of this disease. This battle has drained our family mentally, emotionally and financially. Dad is in the battle of his life right now and the mounting medical bills are a worry we would like to take away from him. We can't change this disease, but we can change how they fight it! Thank you all for your donations, support and most importantly prayers. We do believe in miracles and we pray for one each day.
God Bless you.
