The funds for Buster's care will be used for office visits, medication and prescription dog foods.

My dog Buster who is a male mini schnauzer and is 9 years old was diagnosed with diabetes in August of 2010. He was place on insulin 2 x daily. At the end of September I took him to the vet because he was lethargic and vomiting. He was diagnosed with acute kidney failure and was in the hospital for 3 days on intravenous. He continued to recover with good nursing from me and the wonderful vets at the Bellport animal Hospital. His creatine/bun numbers continued to improve, but did not go back to normal. He continues to be monitored each month and is on special food for his kidney's Hills GD canned food which cost me over $100 to feed him a month. He is also on Actigall (generic version) to help dissolve sludge in his gallbladder and also gets a number of UTI. Between the monthly exam, food and medicine I'm having a tough time financially since I'm a single mom to him. I am looking for financial assistance or one time grant to cover for office procedures or medicines and prescription food. I would appreciate any kind of contribution made directly to:

The Bellport Animal Hospital at 1631 Montauk Highway, Bellport, NY 631.286.9660, Dr. Cangro is his vet and his name is Buster Fava.

I've raised Buster since he was 7 weeks old and he is so wonderful, please I would appreciate any assistance that can be made.
