Our family is dedicated to saving Bolt's leg!

Bolt is a neighborhood dog who has frequented our yard over the past few years. We always fed him when he appeared, but he always left and would not interact with us.
During the summer he came up behind me when I was outside working. He looked at me with sad eyes and as I watched him I noticed that he had an injury to one of his front legs. The leg was very swollen and had two bite marks that looked like a snake bite. The wound was infected and oozing. Bolt sat down and when he looked at me I knew that I had to help him. For four days Bolt allowed me to care for his leg. I medicated him for pain, infection, and with benadryl to offset what I thought to be a snake bite.
After 4 days, Bolt left.
He returned about two weeks ago and has been at our doorstep since. He is managing on three legs, his wound has never healed. What I thought to be a snake bite is probably an animal bite. Bolt cannot put his front leg down and he hobbles around on three. The wound is now reinfected and oozing.

It will cost alot to get his leg back to normal. We are asking for donations, whatever you can give, to help us help Bolt! He has become part of our family but we simply cannot afford the surgery and care he will need.
