This is the Miracles-for-Megan-Meier Fund. We are raising money for medical costs and expenses not covered by insurance.

Megan is a sweet little four month old. She was brought to the hospital in October because of a lump on her neck that affected the use of her arm. After an initial diagnosis of neurofibromatosis, the family was transferred to Texas Children's Hospital.
At TCH, they ran additional tests and biopsies. They then diagnosed Megan with a "Malignant Epithelial and Spindle Cell Tumor". It is a very rare tumor which shows characteristics of several different types of cancers. This makes it very difficult to classify as well as give any kind of prognosis.
Surgery is not currently an option due to the fact that the tumor is wrapped around vital blood vessels to the brain. Radiation is also not an option due to her age and size. The current plan of action is chemotherapy, for up to one year. This includes trips of two hours each way to Houston for treatments. Also, every precaution has to be taken to prevent any infections as it could be detrimental. Due to the rarity of the cancer, it is unknown if it will respond to the chemotherapy.
We all would like to show our love to Megan and her parents Steve and Tammy. The prayers and emotional support are awesome. Let's see if we can go a step further and take a little bit more worry off of their plate.
