We're raising money to help pay for Kendra's medical costs!

Kendra is a spunky 2-year-old who has been fighting for her health since birth. But on July 1st, Kendra began a fight not just for her health, but for her life. She contracted a life-threatening blood infection (meningococcemia) that landed her in the ICU for a week and a half as doctors struggled to resuscitate her and save her organs from shutting down. She survived by the grace of God, but the disease left its mark on her. As her body fought the infection, her blood vessels burst and then clotted, shutting off the blood supply to her right arm, right leg, and left foot.
She is now facing amputation of these three extremities within the next month. Afterwards, she will be fitted for prostheses and have extensive rehab to get back to her playful, mobile self. She has many challenges ahead of her, but she is a fighter, and we trust she will bounce back and find a way to adapt to her new "normal."
We (her family) are blessed that she has good insurance coverage. The majority of her hospital stay (7 weeks so far), surgeries and procedures will likely be covered. However, there is already one major lab test that was sent out of the hospital that is being denied, and we will also be needing to get adaptive equipment for her after her amputations. We are blessed by the love and support of so many friends and family, and in many cases, even strangers. We know God will provide all that we need in His perfect way!
