Bear is a 112 pound 4 year old Newfoundland mix. He was abandoned in an apple orchard as a puppy and came to rescue than. Well he has been here ever since. He is kind, gentle and fun. His two favorite things are swimming and riding in the car. Even with the pain he is in his eyes are still sparkling and his tail always high and wagging. He can not use his left rear leg and has muscle atrophy. I love him so much and can't stand seeing him in this much pain. The ACL ruptured and he can no longer hold his knee in a comfortable position. It even has come out of joint and he had to be sedated to put it manipulated back into place. Still every step he takes you can hear his knee click and pop. Bear needs surgery at the very least to replace the ligament with the best outcome being having a knee totally replaced. I take very good care of my pets and Bear is completely vetted. He is so young and it just doesn't seem fair that he could be facing euthanasia because I don't have the kind of money the surgery is going to cost. The cost of the ligament replacement is $1300 with total knee replacement being upwards of $4800. I am at the mercy of your generosity and will be happy with anything you could give towards helping him. Thank you so much for giving Bear a life.
