Charlie broke his leg and was urged to have surgery, this was estimated to be 1400 dollars. I am setting this fundraiser up to hopefully pay for the amount of his surgery and to donate 25% of funds raised to the SPCA in Cincinnati OH.

Charlie is a fun loving, energetic and loving 5 month old puppy.  He was a rescue through an adoption agency I found online.  After hearing that he was brought to a pound in a box just days after his birth, and was not expected to make it, we decided that we could provide him a loving home.

It's been 4 months now and Charlie is very much apart of our lives and gives us constant joy, between the times where we are cleaning up his messes.  i hear him whine in his kennel as am leaving for work in the morning and see him nearly wag his tail off in the afternoon when I come home to "save" him.  He is very much my little buddy.

Lately Charlie hasn't been running around much, he cries a lot in his kennel as we were directed by the vets to leave him in almost at all times.  He can barely walk and has a cone collar constantly around his neck to prevent him from messing with his splint.

Charlie broke his leg while squirming out of my arms and falling awkwardly on his front right paw.  He shrieked in pain and I could tell that his little leg had something wrong with it.  We immediately took him to the Animal ER in Wilder Ky which is where I live.  We were told that with a break as severe as Charlie's surgery would be needed to ensure proper and prompt healing.

Charlie was fitted with his first spoon splint that night and even on the meds the vet gave him he didn't sleep well that night.  I found myself laying on the floor in front of his kennel petting him to get him to sleep.  The next morning I took him to our vet and again was recommended to have a plate and pins surgically put on Charlie's broken bones.  The estimate came out to be 1400 dollars.  Knowing I couldn't afford that I asked about the alternatives for Charlie to properly heal his leg.  I was informed that re-splinting his leg and keeping him in a cage with a cone collar on for what might be 2 months was my other option.

Now Charlie sits in his kennel and waits for me to come save him, but these last three days I've been instructed not to.  It pains me to think that this may go on for 2 months.

So I come to you...the mighty internet and ask for ¢hange for Charlie.  I'm not expecting 50 dollar donations here and a 100 there, but if you could spare 5, even 2 dollars I'd be in better position to Save Charlie.

thank you,
