We are raising money to pay for alternative medical treatments in response to Christina's aggressive breast cancer diagnosis.

On July 7, 2011, Christina was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). TNBC treatment options remain allusive; recent advancements fail to treat successfully TNBC. She has undergone a lumpectomy and received two treatments of chemotherapy. Christina has chosen to forgo further chemotherapy and traditional western medical treatments as they fail to address the cause of this dis-ease [cancer].Christina recently celebrated her one-year post diagnosis anniversary. Recently, she traveled back to Houston, Texas to undergo her six-month ultra-sound mammogram and to have a check-up from her Ayurvedic practitioner. The ultra-sound mammogram was clear!

Christina’s Ayurvedic practitioner adjusted her treatment to address a few concerns with her blood work. Thanks to her alternative treatment choices, today, Christina is doing well, feeling increasingly filled with energy, and living life to the fullest. Ayurveda is the cornerstone of her treatment. Ayurveda means “life knowledge” and is the ancient holistic medicine of India. Ayurveda utilizes ones individual constitution to guide nutrition and lifestyle changes. Ayurveda considers the body as a whole – mind, body, spirit. In addition, Christina is treated with acupuncture, yoga, massage, spices, herbal formulas, and a specialized nutritional plan. Christina is embarking on two promising additions to her treatment, essential oils, and biological dentistry.

As a family, we have learned to ask for what we need and hope that all the positive contributions we have made over the years will come full circle. We are reaching out and asking for your generosity to assist with medical expenses and travel costs to Houston, Texas for appointment with her Ayurvedic practitioner. Medical insurance fails to provide coverage for a majority [95%] of the treatments she is pursuing. Our resources remain depleted while medical costs continue to increase as Christina battles breast cancer. We ask for your willingness to support our family. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for caring about our family.
