Russ Ensign is famous in Canton for changing young lives. Today, he needs our help in his fight against liver cancer. Please help.

Russ Ensign is a humanitarian, a philosopher, and a best friend to the Canton arts & cultural community. Today, he needs your help to beat liver cancer.

Anyone who knows Russ believes that he very well could walk on water. The local community fell in love with him for good reason. He traded tenured professorship at Kent State University in philosophy & communications for something better: a chance to help at-risk kids in Canton, Ohio, get their diploma AND a great-paying construction job.

He built a business called ARTICULTURE--a place for kids to work and learn their way out from a tough early start to life. His products: innovative furnishings re-imagined from wooden relics of the industrial age. This workforce: high school dropouts with no place to go.

Every day saw this learned man, pipe in mouth, befriending a kid facing a life without. Russ provided the mentoring and inspiration to change lives by teaching a craft, and his love for history. But now it's Russ that needs the spark. From you.

Articulture went from a "cool idea" to a "respected innovation" in Canton these past few years, thanks to Russ Ensign. The Coon Restoration, Arts in Stark and many more have become raving fans most recently. But in the July of 2012, Russ was sidelined with an aggressive strain of liver cancer.

He's been on Nexavar, a newer form of chemo. And he's pursuing both traditional cancer treatment in Pittsburgh in conjunction with all forms of holistic and dietary regimens to battle it. He's fighting hard and at the shop every minute he can be. But as Shannon, his wife, will tell you...he needs rest, too!

Because Articulture was in start-up mode, Russ doesn't have the wherewithal to pay for all the treatment to which he'd otherwise be entitled. We need to change that. Because this is a human being the world needs at its side for decades to come.

Please help us. Trade the $5 a day you spend on coffee to buy more tomorrows for Russ Ensign. In return, there's no telling how many lives this man will save.

Give today, please. And thank you...a million times over...thank you!!
