The family and friends of Mary Ann Suggs are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against Alzheimer's. Please show your support!

My mother Mary Ann went into cardiac arrest followed by seizures on February 9th 2011. She was admitted to Methodist Hospital and spent 4 days in IMCU. After multiple testing, the etiology of the seizures remain unknown but the neurologist diagnosed her with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease. It seems to be progressing each day. It's come to the point where she hides things, says awful things due to the mood swings, manage finances, and is unable to reason. This is a wonderful, christian woman in which this disease process is affecting every aspect of her life. She still recognizes us but the progression after the seizures worries me!

I'm the only child & have taken care of my mom since 1999. My son Garrett is a junior in high school and helps out when he can. Since the seizures and alzheimer's diagnosis my mother needs 24/7 care, among her other chronic illnesses. I can't work at the moment and we have reached the point where we need help! I've found stacks of bills that aren't paid, 2 years delinquent property taxes with penalties & intrest ( which means we can lose the family home ). There are medical bills adding up quickly that I can't pay.

A cure is the goal! You are our HOPE!!!
Please help us!!

[ Dear MOM,
I know you can't won't remember this letter. I need to
write it. We miss you! Garrett, Jake and all the kids in
neighborhood don't understand. How can I explain?
That a disease can take away your mind and leaves
behind a body thats spends its days and nights lost
and afraid. I hope that when I look into your confused
eyes, you can remember all the happiness you have
brought into our lives. I promise to take care of you &
love you with all my heart!!]
