The friends and family of Joshua C. Hight are uniting to help defray the costs from his terrible accident. Please show your support!

Our friend, Josh Hight, is facing one of the hardest journeys any American will ever have to live through; staggering medical bills, a long recovery (6 weeks of bed rest at least) and many painful months of rehabilitation, after falling down 18 stairs in our home and slamming headfirst into a wall.

Josh was staying with us for a few days, dedicating every minute to starting up his new business and establishing a new life for himself, when he took a wrong turn in the dark and fell backwards down our stairs at 5:30 in the morning. Josh has 3 vertebral fractures and 3 cracked ribs. If a picture is worth a thousand words then you should see the 2 inch deep hole left by Josh's head in our plaster wall!!! We are incredibly lucky that Josh did not sustain worse injuries.

Josh is a talented musician and has just returned from a study abroad program in London, where he was focusing on sound design and audio engineering. Being right in the middle of a huge life change, Josh sadly does not have health insurance. The implications of this kind of accident under these circumstances are devastating.

We had to call 911 because his injuries were so bad, and he was transported to LDS hospital. After initial stabilization and analysis LDS physicians determined that they did not have the expertise necessary for his injuries. He needed a spinal trauma team, therefore he had to be transported to Intermountain. Are you adding this up yet? 2 ambulance trips, 2 hospitals, x-rays, CT scans, spinal trauma team, 6 weeks out of work and the need for months of rehab. It would be a lot even if with insurance!

PLEASE help Josh get back on his feet. Even $5 will help. Spread the word that an all around good guy and fixture of the SLC music scene needs your support!
