This is the Bob Krone Multiple Myeloma fund. The funds will be used for Bob's medical costs and related expenses not covered by insurance.

My father, Bob Krone, was diagnosed with aggressive Multiple Myeloma in December 2011. The disease left him with 4 rib and spinal compression fractures, which continue to cause a great deal of pain. By the time the cancer was found, he was already in the final stage, but the doctors have given us hope for remission with various treatments.
Bob has required hospitalization, blood transfusions, immunotherapy (similar to chemo), physical therapy, medical equipment such as walker/cane, and rehabilitation, some of which his insurance has not covered. It is possible he may need to undergo a stem cell transplant this summer (2012). He continues to fight the disease and is in need of funds to pay for his extensive treatments.
Bob has spent the majority of his life staying active with his photography business, playing piano and composing music, hiking, bike riding, gardening, and enjoying time with his family, grandsons and friends. He is determined to beat this illness, and would love to enjoy all of these things again.
Multiple Myeloma affects approximately 15-20,000 Americans who are diagnosed each year, mostly over the age of 60. It is a cancer affecting the bone marrow and blood plasma. Please join our fight against this disease and show your support for my father.
