This is a fund for Julie Scott, currently battling ovarian cancer. The bills are piling and her daughter/caretaker asks for any and all help

I'm taking a chance here, by posting my story and my financial frustrations for all to see, but when you're faced with a no-win scenario, you do anything and everything you can to try and find an alternative solution.

Four years ago, my sophomore year in high school, my single mom was diagnosed with Stage 3C ovarian cancer. Since then she's battled through jobs and chemo in order to fight this cancer while simultaneously trying to support the two of us. 60% of people with this stage of ovarian cancer don't live past the first year, but my mom pushed on. Now I am attending Princeton University on a full scholarship, but her cancer has reached a critical state and I'm struggling to support her from halfway across the country. I need help so that I can help my mom. Due to the progression of her illness she can no longer work, therefore it's up to me to provide support for her. It's always just been the two of us, and I'm at the point of considering leaving college so that I can get a job and help with the finances. I desperately want her to live to see me graduate from Princeton, but she needs funds to pay for a long list of treatments, care, supplements, and bills. At 19 years old it is mind boggling enough to learn how to care for a seriously ill parent, but the monetary issues are beyond my ability to handle alone as a college student.

I know my story is nothing particularly unique or unheard of, but I have worked so hard to get where I am in school, and I want my mother to be able to share these memories with me. My mom has always been there for me, so I intend to always be there for her. At this point every dollar goes towards more treatments in our efforts to fight this disease. Her pain is my pain, but even more painful for her is the thought of me giving up my scholarship. Even working two jobs at school just isn't enough. Every dollar helps.
